Troy has been an actual land of battle and gallantry, where the heroes and mythological figures fought each other. The site of the Trojan War, which is subject to Homer’s Iliad and has been an inspiration for the greatest motion pictures even today, is waiting for you to discover. Your tour will start with an early morning departure from the hotel at 06:00 am. You will drive along the European shore of the Marmara Sea, seeing some lovely summer houses on the seaside, with vast sunflower fields on the landside. You will also travel by the shores of the Dardanelles, as you will pass by Gallipoli, another land of gallantry where the famous “Gentlemen’s War” was fought between the Ottoman and Anzac troops during WW1. As you cross the Dardanelles via ferry and drive the last 25 minutes to the site of Troy, you will become a part of Homer’s legends, see the symbolic Trojan horse, the city walls, The Athena Temple, and the Odeon. Your return to Istanbul will feel like moving forward in a time machine after traveling to the age of myths.
